"ubiquitous platforms:" an event for the unemployed and underemployed.
key points: trade job-hunting tips, napster playlists and dot-com sob stories. have a discounted drink or two at a bar that's not your usual dive. make new friends.
see below for other information.

party, 5/23, otheroom, 143 Perry, 6-8 pm

mad props to:
Patrick Campi/otheroom owner (officially the nicest guy)
r. evan cunningham/graphic design

who showed:
bj, barbara, betsy (at the very end), carol, deborah, gina, ira, joanna, jean

In other words: girls! girls! girls! I don't think Ira minded too much, and certainly the groovy sisters who showed up had no problem doing it for themselves, but it did cause some speculation on what all the unemployed men might be doing instead.

Theories included

- all of them are java programmers so they all have new jobs already

- they are too manly to show that they are bothered by a little thing like getting laid off

- there was some quasi-sports event on cable

So, guys, what's the story?
